This Shell script will search the server logs on daily basis and will email you the successful Ftp Logins of the day. The ftp logs are saved in the /var/log/messages file as by default there is no separate log file for Ftp in Linux.

So I have to run huge jobs on a linux computing cluster and I want to write a script that will email me when the jobs finish. I don't care about what the sending email server is, but I want it to send the result to my gmail account. I am trying to wrap my hear around how I am going to get around this latest hurdle. What needs to happen: PHP script sends email to our Exchange Server ....
Sounds simple right? Well the issue is that the LAMP server that has the PHP script on it is located in our office building, while our web server is hosted at a dedicated hosting company IP 65.xxx.xxx.xxx.
