Out of nowhere power plan stopped working, looks like it just stuck on power saver. All I did was connected from work for few minutes, when came home logged in and it was on "High performance" but works like on "Power saver". I can change it but nothing happens. Tried creating new plan (and deleting it).
I'm doing a little experiment attempting to measure the power delivered from a hand crank (actually a lego motor used as a generator) where an Arduino is used as a VA meter. Measuring the voltage works fine. I'm trying to measure amps by measuring the voltage across a small (1R for now) resistor placed in series with the load.
My computer intermittently power cycles , and will not interact with the monitor after the power cycle, forcing a hard shut down and start up sequence. It can be when the computer is idling or in full use.
I have Windows 8.1 and would like to have my notebook automatically change the power plan to a different one when loss of AC is detected.
How can I do this?
Reason is because I have a pretty power hungry plan - no standby, etc... I put it manually to sleep when I'm finished working. But during power failure, my notebook (Dell 17" monster) won't last very long even with mobile power plans set..
i would like to have some advice about a power supply to buy.
I'm looking for a full modular with flat cables because I have little space behind the motherboard so it is a forced choice. Regarding the power, 550watt is fine.
My budget is 100€.
Currently I am focused on a corsair rm550, but would like to have your advice.
Thank you very much.
I brought a mobile power for my iPad and I got it yesterday. It is very useful and convenient.
I used it last night when the residual power of my iPad was 14%. The power of the portable power source was full. Then I started to use it. After my iPad was fully charged, the residual power of the portable power source was 40%. Moreover, I was using it while it is charging.
I was given an old HP P6347C computer that would not power up.
I got a new MB for it (Asus M5A78L-M LX) and moved over the CPU (AMD Athlon IIx4) and 3x2GB RAM sticks and moved everything over to old case and PSU I had.
Installed everything, attempted to power up and while the MB got power I got no video at all. CPU fan seems to be spinning at full speed.
