try $ systemd-analyze && systemd-analyze blameto also see how long it takes the initramfs to load, add "timestamp" to the hooks in mkinitcpio.conf.

I think none, as you can pass these as commands from a booted linux. That is why I musunderstood what steelneck was saying. I am not sure what it does these days with systemd, but "init 3" and "runlevel 3" were basically the same as "systemctl isolate multi-user.target"

I know you stated that you installed yesterday, which likely means you are using systemd, but I just want to make sure.... you are using systemd right?

Odd, there is no (nor should there be) any /boot/systemd.Are you by chance at the point where you add "init=/bin/systemd" to your bootloader kernel line? Could you have made a typo and put init=/boot/systemd? Or perhaps if you didn't put any path to systemd *perhaps* /boot/ would be inferred as that may be the current working directory when init is called.(edit: beat by
@Trilby, this is why it annoys me. It basically says, "I have an issue, for which I have no expertise necessary to fix or debug... but I'll bet it is this damn squirrely systemd thing... because I don't fully understand it..."
