I'm trying to set up Routing and Remote Access on Windows Server 2008 R2, I have a network connection that I want to share the internet from to another private network.
The server has two NICs which are configured as follows:
External NIC (Dynamically assigned by ISP)
IP:10.175.4.150
Subnet:255.255.192.0
Gateway:10.175.0.1
DNS:10.175.0.1
Internal NIC
IP:172.16.254.1
Subnet:255.255.255.0
Gateway:
Hyper-V internal switch and VM OS interfacing with Guest OS and IP Cofiguration
When configuring hyper-v internal switch, Apart from physical lan adapter (say adapter 1), I see another LAN adapter (say adapter 2) added in host os.
I had two virtual machine running under VirtualBox, both Windows Server 2008 R2.
One configured with DHCP and RRAS(NAT), another configured to be DNS.
The DHCP-NAT server has two virtual network cards, one NAT to have Internet access, another connected to internal network. I made the NAT one to have static IP, and the internal network one to get IP from DHCP.
I'm having trouble setting up a private VPN to route all traffic from my clients through my VPS linux box in another country. I'm able to connect successfully and ping the internal IP of the VPN, but my client's Internet traffic still goes out through its local ISP (i.e.
I run a small business network and the last couple of days I have been setting up some equipment to add VPN capabilities to our network. I've got the following set up:
Windows 2008 R2 with RRAS - 172.22.200.50
Cisco RV082 router - 172.22.100.1 / 172.22.200.1
The Cisco router only support DHCP on a single class C network; 172.22.100.0/24.
I have an Ubuntu firewall box (Alma), at the office, with a web server on it. It looks like this:
[Internet] <-> [DSL Router] <-> [Alma]
|
[DMZ:10.1...] <--+--> [Internal LAN:192...]
Whenever I am at home, outside of Alma, I can get to it just fine through SSH.
Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my Internet Connection.
Here is the scenario:
My workstation (WinXPSP3) is connected in a Corporate Network and my IP Address is assigned statically and reserved in our DHCP Server.
I have a windows server 2003 R2 instance running in a hyper-v instance on windows 8. I have setup an internal switch that uses internet connection sharing to get out to the internet. It works fine except for when I try to do windows update on the server 2003 instance it disconnects my remote desktop session to the windows 8 hyper-v host. When I reconnect it says windows update failed.
So Sophos UTM (Astaro Gateway UTM) can be virtualized in Hyper-V, VMWare, vSphere etc. Now I'm new to virtualization, so am wondering how the networking would be configured in this situation.
Imagine the following (a very simple setup). A Zyxel router acting as the default gateway, standard ADSL line. This is connected directly via Ethernet to my VHost, Hyper-V in my case.
