Hi,
I have a OEM Windows 8 Sony Vaio E-series. Tried dual booting Linux Secure Remix (Ubuntu 12.10) with EFI having followed the instructions here:

Disabled Secure-boot.
No option in BIOS to disable fast-boot.
Ran Boot-Repair with recommended conditions and restarted.

When I reboot my computer, and enter the boot sequence menu in BIOS, there isn't even an entry for my second hard drive.
Hey guys, I am trying to set up a dual boot on my new laptop with Windows XP Professional and Crunchbang 9.04. I can't install Windows because the hard drive is set to AHCI, and I need it to be in IDE compatibility mode to continue with the setup. I know I should be able to change this in the BIOS, but unfortunately, my laptop (HP G62) is one of several recent ones that don't
