Get ready for another Samsung mobile launch. The Korean electronic giant just sent out invites for an October 24th NYC event. And judging by the prominent S-Pen graphic, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is likely the topic.

Samsung sent out press invites earlier this morning suggesting that the next big thing is just around the corner. Scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, in Berlin, it looks like Samsung is going to be announcing the fourth generation Note device, confirming rumors as such.
As Samsung prepares for perhaps a major announcement this week, we’ve just gotten word of some additional tidbits of news regarding the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S III smartphones. According to a leaked database photo obtained by the gang at SamMobile, Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Note 2 smartphone in 2 color variations: Ceramic White and the other TBD (for now).
Samsung just sent us a “save the date” for an event on October 24th in New York City. The invitation clearly shows the S Pen, so we fully expect this to be some sort of launch party for the U.S. release of the Galaxy Note II. The original Galaxy Note sold more units than most expected, and the Galaxy Note II is supposed to triple that success.
Samsung used IFA in Berlin to unveil the Galaxy Note 3 last year. And today, a report from The Korea Times claims that Samsung will be using the same trade show to announce its successor. The specific date for the unveiling of the Galaxy Note 4 is September 3.
At their Samsung Unpacked event today, after announcing the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Gear devices, the final piece of hardware to be unveiled was the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. The 10-inch class tablet comes with S Pen functionality to help users take advantage of Samsung’s TouchWiz improvements on the big screen.
Samsung unveiled their new Galaxy Gear wristbound wearable devices today at their Unpacked Event. The new accessory is heavily geared toward interaction with the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but updates are promised so Galaxy Gear will also work with Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy S 4, and Galaxy Note II devices.
October 24 has long been speculated as the day Samsung would show off the US version of the Galaxy Note II. We can now stop the speculation as Samsung made the October 24th launch date official.
