Samsung continues to mark its stamp of Portable Media Player (PMP) dominance in the Android world, so it’s only fitting that it has introduced a new PMP called the Galaxy Player 5.8, a device we’d heard about recently. The Galaxy Player 5.8, takes several cues from the existing Galaxy S III smartphone and has the typical standard features.
While Samsung has the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II as its heavyweights for 2012, it has plans on bringing in more players to the fight as well. Reports of no less than 3 Samsung smartphones have now surfaced: the Galaxy S III Mini, Galaxy S II Plus, and Galaxy Premier.
Easily one of the best features Samsung has been implementing on its newer Galaxy Note devices is the ability to run two apps in separate windows at the same time.
This news is definitely surprising to me, what about you? According to an anonymous tipster, rumor has it that Samsung has plans on announcing a Galaxy S III based point and shoot camera alongside the Galaxy Note 2 during this years IFA. This device will allegedly be called the Samsung Galaxy S Camera and will feature the same 4.8″ Super AMOLED screen found on the Galaxy S III.
A recent analysis claims only 10% of Samsung’s newest flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S 4, is shipping with Samsung’s own Exynos 5 Octa chip. Considering the device is on pace to become the company’s fastest selling smartphone in history, one might think Samsung would want to put more of their own hardware in the hands of consumers.
As if it could be any other way, the just-announced Samsung Galaxy S 4 is Samsung’s, and perhaps even Android’s, best phone yet. In fact, it very well may be the best smartphone on the market, period.
We’ve been through months of speculation, hype, rumors, and leaks, but the truth is out, and the Galaxy S 4 still has much more up its sleeve than the leaks suggested.
