Samsung announced what appears to be its first 512GB SSD (solid state disk), utilizing & high-performance toggle-mode& DDR NAND flash. The device provides three times the performance of a typical hard disk drive, and extends battery life even further than previous SSDs, the company claims....
We already know that Samsung will unveil a limited edition Galaxy Note 3 with a flexible (curved) display next month, but according to the Korea Herald, LG is going to offer something similar next month as well. As previously reported, Samsung and LG are going to start mass production in November, but it appears Samsung has the upper hand.
LG is trying to steal the spotlight from Samsung by announcing the mass production of the “world’s first flexible OLED panel for smartphones.” There’s only one problem, they didn’t announce an actual device, but Samsung could later this week. Rumors indicate LG won’t announce their device until next month.
Both Samsung and LG have shown off flexible displays for mobile phones, and we’ve been patiently waiting to see them in actual devices for some time. Good news as they are now both finally capable of mass producing flexible screens and will reportedly begin to manufacture them this November.
