1. We have LDAP sever configured on the Linux for users to login to Linux. Samba (security=domain) configured to be accessed by window users, on samba password server is pointing to AD 2003. After samba started, sometimes it works fine for Windows users, but sometimes it won't even let windows to do net view. Error says no parameter on the other side.
I have DNS server + DHCP sever + openldap +samba with only IP: 192.168.100.114; and domain is samba+ldap with domain name abc.local. In this server, I created some group and users (Ex: user1, user2,.., user100 bussiness, technology, accounting) in domain Ldap Samba.
Now, I build mailserver (Postfix, dovecot, squirrelmail) with IP:10.10.10.100.
I've set up an LDAP server, and configured Samba 4.0.3 to access it for user/group information. I went to issue the command smbpasswd -W to provide the password for Samba to access LDAP, however the program is not there! Apparently smbpasswd was deprecated? How do I provide Samba with LDAP access now, for when it needs to take administrative action?
