I had a working system under Samba 3.5.6 (Debian Squeeze). I upgraded to Wheezy and Samba 3.6.6. Now no access to samba shares. Using windows server for DC. When I do smbclient -L server, I notice a difference. When it was working, the domain controller would be listed and Workgroup Master would show server name and domain controller. After upgrade, these are missing. Any ideas?
I installed and configure a Samba 4 as AD and I shared Homes. I can log in the Samba server and a Windows 2008 server with my users. However, on Windows, when I type "\IPSambaServer\user1" when logged with user1, I get access denied with error code : 0x80070005.
Of course I don't wan't a 777 on home directories and.

Has anybody got users on Windows Samba clients setting their passwords on first logon or expiration? For any combination of Samba username/password backend, Samba as domain controller or standalone, Windows clients as domain members or standalone.
