I am writing a PHP script for a client which will be installed on a server which I do not have back-end access to. I only have access to a particular folder and database.
My script will upload files and create folders. However I get a permission denied error when I try run mkdir() and move_uploaded_file().

Using SAMBA 3.0.35 and VISTA users are not able to use SAMBA shared folder. NT Account is getting locked. Using Security mode "SERVER". Authenticating against NT Domain Controller. Also usign users.map for users not having unix account.
I can't change any VISTA registry keys as per company policy.
Looking for solution other than registry keys editing.

I have ASP.NET MVC 3 application to upload file to network mapped drive i.e. share folder samba but it shows the error Access is denied while uploading the file to that folder.
I have a server running 9.10 desktop, and previously in version 8, my windows computer could see the 2 additional drives in the server. I installed Samba and shared (what I thought) was everything and I see the files on the main drive, but cannot view the 2 additional drives.
I tried to make separate Samba accounts with different permissions, but now I can't login at all. I tried mapping a network drive from windows 7, and it says access denied every time, even though I'm positive I'm entering the correct password, for both samba usernames(smbusr and smbusr_RO).

I use Fed18 as webserver and in order to transfer file easily between development computer (windows 7) and webserver (fed18) i setup a samba folder sharing to /var/www/html/
for now, webserver is able to access to share folders via browsing network, however windows 7 client is not able.
as my windows 7 user doesn't have a user account on server, he's mapped with an existing one in sam
