I want to use Samba 4 to authenticate my windows xp and windows 7 clients machines. In my home based pc I am using vmware to test samba 4.

I am working on a project where i would like to install a printing system that makes it possible to print over my network.
There are 4 printers spread over the entire network. These printers should only be approached through a print-server. (I use SAMBA and CUPS as print-server because i use windows and linux clients)
The later the Windows version you are using the more likely it will be to break Samba. You will at least need to dump the legacy Samba and use samba3x. Try a google on
I am trying to setup Samba server again after a reformat so that another lucid box and my WD Tv Live can connect to this server.
