I installed openSUSE, last version, then I tried to install driver on my touchpad, it will not installed, so I installed it in this way:
zypper install ./filename_.rpm
After that my openSUSE will not load.
i love both ubuntu and openSUSE, So i tried to install them in one machine. in first attempt
i first installed openSUSE 12.2 and then installed ubuntu 12.04 alongside it in another partition. after this, i lose openSUSE boot splash.
i thought it is because ubuntu 12.04 uses grub 1.99 and openSUSE 12.2 uses grub 2 so in second attempt i installed again both of them.

Hey,
This is just a quick question I think.
I'm wondering how I would go about dual-booting Ubuntu with openSUSE installed first?
I'm just a little bit concerned about the versions of Grub overwriting the openSUSE version or theme or something.
Hi,
I have Prolink H9601 Usb adsl modem and I've already installed the eciadsl driver to setup my modem with opensuse 11.2. The modem is in sync as the eciadsl driver indicates. But I'm having trouble dialling the connection. I'm not sure the ISP (Sri Lanka Telecom) supports PPPOE or PPPOA but in windows I see two numbers VCI/VPI so I'm guessing it is PPPOA.
Yes I have a Wubi install of Ubuntu 8.04.01 LTS upgraded online to Ubuntu 9.10 in the windows/vista partition.
I recently installed openSUSE 11.2 from LXF magazine disk and lost the original Grub for windows/ubuntu.
The new Grub from openSUSE boots windows/vista but not Ubuntu, although its listed, in when I try I get:
Hi there!
Today I switched from Ubuntu to OpenSuse. But I can't setup my Ethernet connection.
I have 2 PCs connected with a crossover cable, one with Ubuntu, the other with OpenSuse 11.3. Lights are on in both NICs.
I wrote:
Code:
ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.2 (My local NIC address, OpenSuse)
Hello everyone,
I have just installed OpenSuse 11.1 on a Intel motherboard D945GSEJT and I figured I would try to update the repository.
But it didn't work.
