You could try to create a virtual (persistent) X session using Xvfb (package xorg-x11-server-Xvfb and a startup command like "/usr/bin/Xvfb :1 -screen 0 1024x768x24") then "export DI... [by pjwelsh]

I am having this start script to start xvfb under rc3.d but it fails during system startup saying unable to open display. also manually if i try to execute the script , it does not work. But if i execute what ever is there in the script line by line on my SHELL , it starts well.
Using: chakra-2012.02-Archimedes-x86_64$/> ccr icecatGives:Dependency `xorg-server-xvfb' of `icecat' does not existI believe that the xvfb code has moved into core packages, as I have a number of xvfb executables and libraries. I wonder if the dependency is still necessary. I tried to modify the PKGBUILD myself, but I am new to arch/PKGBUILD and can't get it to work.
