http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi folks; I have a starline nb1000, lspci: 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) SMBus Controller (rev 02) 01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E/RTL8102E PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller (rev 02) 02:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8187SE Wireless LAN Controller (rev 22) I wasn't able to get the wireless working with the kernel drivers, so far I have been using the XP driver for the 8187 that came with the machine, running it under ndiswrapper. On F11, that worked fine. On F12, the wireless and ethernet work - for a while. After a few hours, I get a "disabling irq 17" message, after which the ethernet controller disappears from lspci: 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) SMBus Controller (rev 02) 02:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8187SE Wireless LAN Controller (rev 22) and the wireless drops out. The wireless can be restarted (for a few more hours), but the ethernet controller disappears from the network manager window. I assume that this is some kind of driver conflict, but I don't know what to do about it. I know there is supposed to be a new driver coming in rpmfusion https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=879 but it doesn't seem to have turned up in the F12 rpmfusion repos. Any suggestions?
