Hi guys,
I am using Xubuntu distribution, and just installed the SMCWUSB-N2 wireless adapter in a Compaq desktop (around year 2000). The adapter is recognised and starts working fine with the "default" (built-in) Xubuntu driver, but after 2 to 4 minutes, the adapter shuts down and internet connection is lost.
Hi
Bought a Belkin F7D4101 wireless adapter. When I plug it in, it is not recognised, i.e. no light comes on. Copied the .inf file from the cd and tried loading driver using NDISwrapper, but get a message telling me it is an invalid driver.
Anyone got any ideas?
Kind regards
DHK
Hi,
I have a Belkin N300 wireless USB adapter currently attached to my computer running Lubuntu 10.04. Whenever I start up my computer then occasionally the USB adapter will not turn on, unless I unplug and re-plug it back in.
It's nothing terribly serious but I would like to fix it as it is quite annoying.
I'm installing fedora 11 KDE, but I'm finding it difficult because I have a wireless adapter I'm using, Linksys WUSB600N. I have the driver for it however it's not compiled. I need to have gcc on fedora but I have no internet connection to download it and an ethernet connection is out of the picture.
So anyone have any ideas?
Hi
Found a few threads addressing this but many are 6 months old or better.
There have been new drivers and new Ubuntu since any of the posts I have read.
I am trying to get a linksys WUSB600N up and running on Ubuntu Version 9.10.
I have downloaded the current driver versions from ralink.com
I have been searching through the forums and looked at this SDB:ASUS WL-160N USB Wireless Adapter - openSUSE and I am still having problems getting my ralink rt2870 wireless adapter working.

The stick is OK, and all the other networks next door appear, however my local network is absent. The network shows up and works on my laptop running xp and windows 7 via their internal adapters.
It also worked fine in the desktop 30 mins before I loaded Ubuntu 9.1 on top
Stick is Belkin N Wireless Adapter bundled with Belkin N Wireless router Z528 ref no.
