So here's the scenario:
Network A is the physical network (10.1.1.x 255.0.0.0) which is connected to the internet via the gateway at 10.1.1.1.
Network B is a 'virtual' (VMWare Workstation) network using the IP range 172.16.0.0 255.255.255.0 and the VMware DHCP server.
The goal is to create a virtualized network on Network B that can be routed to directly from Network A, but only through a virtual
This is the first time I am faced with routing and it seems I have hit a dead end.
I have a windows domain network with two different subnets. Both are connected trough VPN gateways.
DHCP and default gateway is an exiting router blackbox. Unfortunately I have very limited control over it. It is not possible to add a route there or add such an DHCP option. So I need to teach all Computers (Domain Members) how to reach the remote net. A simple 'route add' would do the trick.
Hi everyone,
Hopefully there is someone here that can help me with the problem I got.
At my office I have 1 ubuntu firewall/gateway and several networks.
On the firewall/gateway I have three network cards, one for internet, one for network 192.168.100.0 and one for network 172.20.1.0
We use fwbuilder to make the firewall rules and have there defined the three network cards and the two ne
Hello,
I've been trying to setup an IPSec connection between two routers, but am having trouble with the actual packet routing.
My setup currently is two local networks (192.168.1.0/24[netLANA] and 192.168.0.0/24[netLANB]) that are connected to their own routers (192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1 respectively). The routers are both connected to the 194.26.1.0/24[netWAN] network.
At home I am connected to network 'A' and can see WLANs 'B' and 'C' from my neighbours.
I suspend my computer and when I get to work the next day, the system still thinks it's connected to the same network 'A' and that it still can see the 'B' and 'C' networks, even though they aren't there.
There are a network 192.168.0.0/24 and a different network on a second location with 192.168.50.0/24 on both networks are a router with 192.168.x.1 who route the traffic.
Now i install a new Router with 192.168.0.2 and connect with ipsec to 192.168.50.1, i can route from one net to another, but only if i add 192.168.0.2 as gateway for the network.
I want to set up internet gateway for my home to make use of my old system having lubuntu on it .. pc only having 1 network interface card ... so how i can use it for internet gateway i mean obviously this pc will be forwarding internet traffic to other pc's ... Just want to know how i can use single nic for gateway instead of two ...
I have two windows XP machines in my home networks, connected with ASUS WL-500gp V2 which also used as internet router.
