http://androidforums.com – Rooting my DHD. Prepped phone. Used AAHK 12062012 on Ubuntu Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS 32bit Live CD. When things failed I also tried Win7 64bit. AAHK opened fine. Ran it. Asked to downgrade. Accepted. Proceeded to its thing. I noticed some things related to Zerg failing (cmd log below). Phone rebooted. Bootloader failed to find PD98IMG .zip, .img etc. Ended up in Hboot. Went to Fastboot>Bootloader. Bootloader failed to find PD98IMG .zip, .img etc again. On a side note Recovery pulls up red exclamation mark triangle and requires battery pull out to get out of. Otherwise phone can be rebooted from (General)

Am an android newbie so please be gentle with me I have a HTC Desire hd.

as I got Desire HD was suppose to root it... I unlocked the bootloader and flased boot.img and relocked the bootloader now when I run AAHK it is not working

I tried to root my DHD using AAHK; it needed to downgrade so I allowed it to download the files and do it. The downgrading proceeded smoothly until after checking for the PD98IMG files, which put me back into the HBOOT screen. At that point I tried to navigate the HBOOT screen but it was unresponsive.

Attempted to root a DHD with aahk-11092012. It first downgraded the phone (which appeared to work) and then reported success on second pass.

But only the bootloader is accessible. Attempting to boot results in HTC screen which 'fades' to a 'powered-on' black.

Ok im stuck I have used the htc dev and unlocked the bootloader and I followed the steps to get a recovery http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/488901-revised-rooting-g... I used the ADB command and it said on the CMD that it was sucessfull but when i go to the bootloader and hit recovery it just goes to the htc incredible screen and does nothing.

So I accepted the OTA a few days ago because I wasn't really considering rooting and unlocking my phone. I decided to try and root for the first time on my old GS2 and I was successful. So now that I did that I want to do it for my Note 2 but now I can't unlock the bootloader since I'm now at VRALL4. Is there a way to downgrade to VRALJB and unlock the bootloader from there? Thanks.

Alright well heres the case. Im not a noob when it comes to this kind of stuff its just that this my friends phone that he asked me to fix. His phone was running aokp and he told me he woke up w and it only rebooted to the bootloader. It would not boot into the OS.

This is my situation:

just got a replacement phone. And i want root back.

I already did the bootloader unlock crap. i have my token key. i unlocked bootlaoder via cmd.

I still have s-on though. which s-of program should i use?

hboot: v2.09.0000 radio: 1.12.11.1210

is there no new root for the recently updated phone's?

I've tried regawmod, but it just took me to htcdev.
