http://androidforums.com – I use this forum quite often, I figured I might as well sign up. I understand the generic explanation of rooting but what I'm interested in is specifics. For example, what are things you do with your rooted phone. Tips and tricks. I've had my MAXX for a couple months now and just want to know some specific examples of what rooting will provide me....not just a generalized explanation. (General)

i am so new at this and really need help from you guys.

i have read several thread about how to root your phone and already stuffed with some general ideas of what is rooting, and some terms like rom and kernel. but yet still confused about how to really start the rooting itself.

I've been toying with the idea of Rooting my nexus 7. But if I'm honest I don't fully understand what Rooting does or what I'll be able to do once my N7 is rooted.

I've got a Verizon RAZR M running 4.1.1. I'd considered rooting early on, but decided it wasn't necessary for me. I'm happy with the stock ROM and so on, and I didn't think it was worth voiding the warranty for the advantages rooting would provide.

These forums are really useful and am looking forward to get help from this forum for my new android mobile spice stellar mi-425. Right Now am carfully going through the methods for rooting my phone.

I would like to ask my Android Forum friends about the major differences being rooted or not rooted. Is rooting necessary at all? If yes, then what are all we can do with a rooted phone.

Firstly I have an s3 running JB with Rogers here in Ontario. Ive been thinking about rooting my phone mainly because I want a better battery life and connect a ps3 controller with my phone for the GTA app.

I honestly know nothing about rooting or what this process even means completely but I have some questions:

1) Will rooting change the layout of my phone right away?

I have had my razr maxx now for several months and love it. Got the OTA update to ICS and have enjoyed the update. I'm running adw ex as a launcher, and have toyed around with tasker to enhance my phone. I'ver really loved messing around with the phone, but still would consider myself somewhat new to android phones. Here are my questions at this point.

i own a A87...i rooted this phone...plz tell me what to delete n what not to delete from dis divice after rooting... i rooted my device earlier n deleted some files due to which it went dead... bt i ws lucky enuf to hav my phone replaced under DOA... so please help me dis time so tha i dont delete any filed which harms my phone...i will also b thankful if anyone could tell me abt d pros n cons of
