I have a very unpopular tablet called the Kobo Vox. It runs android 2.3.4 and its hardware specs are exactly the same as the nook color's. I tried rooting it root Ginger Break, Super one click, and z4root. I cannot get it rooted. I do not know how to install adb. I actually have no idea what it is. Could somebody help me root it? Also please suggest any other ways of rooting the tablet.

I want to root it without unlock the boot loader to be able to do a TA backup. My experience on rooting is almost zero, but did it with my old Samsung Galaxy Note tablet and the Galaxy S2.

Hi all, Just want to know what advantages there are to rooting the new Samsung 10.1 Note tablet. I don't really understand why I would risk that process? Clarification or explanation for Dummies would be appreciated.:D

I recently bought this tablet for my kid, the insignia flex 8 NS-15AT08 running android kitkat 4.4.2. Good tablet, only downer is, it has limited internal storage space with NO option to move apps to sd card. Had I known, I wouldn't have bought it but it's too late to return it now. I'm hoping to fix this by rooting it & tweeking the software a little. I'm still a novice.
I've just joined the xda forum, i'm a software developer ( mainly DSP, Linux and uCos2 ) and have an interest in android.
I recently purchased a cheap tablet ( Azpen A1320 ) and can confirm that the Kingo rooting application
does root the tablet.
