You might be forgiven for thinking the HTC Desire Z is the misunderstood second cousin in the HTC litter. When the Taiwanese manufacturer already has the Desire, the Desire HD, the Desire S and more, it’s hard to get your head around just why you should care about the Desire Z. But the Desire Z truly offers something the other models don't -- a physical keyboard.
So I just bought my HTC Desire last week and other than a few minor skims through various articles, am completely new to the android scene, especially all this rooting business.
That being said, I still managed to root my Desire without a hitch. The problem now just being what do I do now?
After all the confusion on whether the HTC Desire HD will be getting an update to Android 4.0 or not, we finally have a solid answer from HTC. It’s now official that the HTC Desire HD will not be getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. The manufacturer has said that the HTC Desire has the best software experience possible for it’s current hardware on Android 2.3.

I want to root and s off my Desire HD and put Jellytime on it, but I don't really know where to start. I'm quite computer literate but have no experience with Android. Can anybody tell me how to do this?

After months of wondering which phone to buy, i decided to go for the Nexus 4.
I thought it was time to upgrade as my desire was getting sluggish etc. I would like to thank everyone who helped me with questions i had about rooting the htc desire etc.
i have a desire gsm, unlocked that has pvt4 and hboot 6.93, i searched in the forum but cannot find a straight answer to my rooting problem, i wpuld like to install a custom rom, can anyone help me with the necessary steps ? Thanks

So I'm planning to buy a new phone. And this time I've decided on HTC. But I can't choose between HTC Desire VC or the HTC One V. Which one is better? Both of similar specs but the HTC Desire VC is priced little higher which is not the problem. I'm not able to decide which one to buy. Need some expert recommendations!

My HTC Desire S cant open in recovery in fastboot. First i rooted the phone, but i wanted to install ICS, for that I unrooted Desire S, and now my phone is relocked. and i can not go into recovery. please guide me to root desire s with ICS or i can roll back to 2.3
