Hi, i would really appreciate some help if anybody has the patience.
I have a HTC Desire which i'm looking to root and s-off, mainly so i can have a bunch of apps on my SD card since the phone's internal memory apparently has no space for anything anymore despite my having removed almost all of my downloaded apps...
Hi all,
I'm having issues with getting ICS onto my HTC Desire. I have searched the forums, however can't find any easy-to-follow steps when it comes to doing this.
I am running Gingerbread, and have rooted my device using unrEVOked 3.
My HTC Desire S cant open in recovery in fastboot. First i rooted the phone, but i wanted to install ICS, for that I unrooted Desire S, and now my phone is relocked. and i can not go into recovery. please guide me to root desire s with ICS or i can roll back to 2.3
The time is approaching for my yearly PAYG upgrade, normally just pickup a second hand model floating about.
Got a Desire currently and the wife will gladly take it as she needs minimal apps, I on the other hand like to have handy apps = Desire internal memory crops up again.
I want to root my desire v without upgrading baseband.
Here is the specification:
android version: 4.0.3
htc sense: 4.0
software no: 1.73.720.1
htc sdk api level: 4.20
kernel : 3.0.16-g0dd6bb5-dirty
root@abm009#1
PREEMPT
baseband: 1.10.34D.17_20.26.30.27U
Build no: 1.73.720.1 CL116923
PLEASE HELP ME TO ROOT MY DESIRE V..
THANKS IN ADVANCE...
Hello,
I am new to the rom and root thingy, but I managed to get my desire rooted with Unr3voked. That was running fine and with no problems. A few months ago I wanted a custom ICS rom, so I found one (Sandvolds one). I searched around the internet because I didn't know how to do it ;). I discovered I needed to have S-OFF but I hadn't.
Hi
I have HTC Desire S. After OTA Upgrade HBOOT 2.00.2000 . So revolutionary method did not work. Unlocked using HTCDev.com
Used AndroidFlasher with CWM Recovery and rooted my device.
Can i simply install another custom ROM?
If no, How do i get S-OFF now? Or I will have to revert back to Stock ROM and root via another method now?
Device details in my signature.
You might be forgiven for thinking the HTC Desire Z is the misunderstood second cousin in the HTC litter. When the Taiwanese manufacturer already has the Desire, the Desire HD, the Desire S and more, it’s hard to get your head around just why you should care about the Desire Z. But the Desire Z truly offers something the other models don't -- a physical keyboard.
i have a desire gsm, unlocked that has pvt4 and hboot 6.93, i searched in the forum but cannot find a straight answer to my rooting problem, i wpuld like to install a custom rom, can anyone help me with the necessary steps ? Thanks
ps. new with rooting :(
