Hello (:
I currently have my Prime running stock .28 (4.0) rom and rooted, but i want to update it to 4.1, though i want to keep root.
I used Voodoo Root Keeper to update from .21 to .28 update, but i'm unsure if it will work with the 4.1 update as it's a much larger update than it was going from .21 to .28?
Also, if anyone knows, is there any problems with the JB update that have been
I'm still kinda new to Android eventhough i have it rooted and flashed to Cyanogenmod.
However samsung just put out a new update that improves system stability.
If i update from my restored stock rom, will i lose my root?
If so is there anyway i can keep my root?
thanks in advance
Does anyone here know of a way to get a file from sdcard to /data/local/ without root, and no computer?
I'm trying to figure out a way to root the optimus v zv9 update without a computer. I'm trying to help all those on my forum who flashed the zv9 update and don't have a computer to root there phones.
ASUS is no doubt one of the more likeable Android manufacturers simply in part, because they push out timely software updates to most of its premium devices. So with Android 4.2 officially out, ASUS tablet owners are anxiously waiting on if/when their device will get the latest update as well and ASUS seems to have given an indirect answer.
Newest update was just released.
Is there anything we should do before Updating to the latest version? I doubt we will lose root but still it is good to know if we might lose something. Just want to make sure everything remains the same as before.

So I have run into several problems using several different methods, none of which have worked properly and I really need some help. Now, I am by no means stupid when it comes to computer stuff but I am not a programmer nor any sort of software engineer. I understand much of the command line stuff and some simple code but I don't understand why nothing I have tried is working.
So I'm S-OFF, Stock and running the latest OTA update. I was wondering how to go about rooting right now. I can't flash superuser without TWRP and I can't flash TWRP without Root. So you guys see my predicament. Can anyone help?
Is there any way to back up my app data (specifically game progress) without having to root my device? I don't want to root yet because I'm still under warranty and don't want to void it.
I'm running an Asus Transformer Prime TF201 with Jellybean, and ever since the update, it has been laggy and not smooth at all. I've read that the fix is to do a factory reset, but then I'll lose everything.
OK guys, I finally got around to creating this how-to video on getting your ASUS Transformer Prime all ready for modding! In this video you will find directions on how to root, unlock, and flash ClockworkMod Recovery to your tablet. This all-in-one tool, ViperMod PrimeTime v4.5, will do everything I just mentioned and can even unroot your Prime in case you need to send it in for service.
