I am using BT 5 R3 version with default log/pass (root:toor). But today I made a upgrade about system and it was very big update actually, unfortunately i did not look too much when it is updating files.
Can someone tell what does this mean? I tried a command like lastb to see last user logins and I see some strange logins from China (server is EU, I am in EU). I was wondering if these could be login attempts or successfull logins?
Is it possible to create individual WHM logins that all have the same access as the root login (minus changing root password)? Reason being, we run a small yet growing hosting company and I want to make individual WHM logins for each tech. It would make for some better logging as to who did what plus not needing to give out the master password.
Hello cPanel peeps... I encountered a strange problem with the root user login and password.
Steps before problem occurred:
1. I enabled PHP-GD on my server through the Apache configuration in WHM and let WHM rebuild the configuration (took longer than usual).
2. After a long period, I restarted httpd and the server. When it came back online the root login and password did not work.
