http://androidforums.com – Hi all - It has been ages since I have come to this site and it is good to see that some of the usual very helpful people still visit the HTC Desire section. I have just recently become a proud owner of Nexus 7. I would like to use it outside of my house and show it off to my friends but there is a slight problem. Nexus 7 only uses wifi. I could get a tethering deal on my phone but this costs about £5 more per month on Orange which I can not afford. Since I have an old "unlimited" data contract, is it possible to make my Desire tether without having to take up contract? May be (General)

Hello! I'll start by saying this may work with other Tmobile phones, but I haven't had the chance to test this on any other phone besides the GS3. I have the unlimited data plan with Tmobile. It was a hard decision to make the switch from the 5gig plan that included tethering to unlimited.

Hello, I'm new to the forum, and I've tried to get this working on my own, but I'm stumped and am hoping someone out there can help me out.

I just bought a shiny new Nexus 7 tablet and would like to tether it to my Galaxy S III phone. I'm currently on a pay as you go plan on my phone where I have an "internet browsing" plan (via SpeakOut).

ok i have the HTC EVO V 4G and im on the Virgin Mobile no contract plan.. i get unlimited everything for $55 a month.. i love the deal, but no so much the crappy reception...

In preparation for Jellybean breaking Foxfi's wifi tether I've been playing with Bluetooth and I have a question that I can't answer

When connected to foxfi on Bluetooth, many apps on my nexus 7 don't recognize the internet connection.

I'm out of contract. I'm very interested in the Nexus 4. I pay $88.13 per month for 500 min plan + unlimited data, but I only talk about 70 minutes on average, and average 500 mb data.

Seems like a ripoff to buy Nexus 4 from T-mobile directly. And I visit Japan for months at a time (where my Nexus One worked great), and I don't want a 2 year contract renewal.

So I bought this phone from a Verizon store. I am now in Canada for a few months and am on a monthly contract with Telus. While I'm here I cancelled my monthly with Verizon. When I try to tether here, my phone says "Checking subscriptions status" then that fails and it refers me to Verizon's numbers.

I have seen the $30 dollar month to month plan advertised on the walmart.com webiste.

Its $30.00 and you get 100 mins unlimited text unlimited web (5gb at 4g speeds, then throttled down)

Plan sounds amazing (i don't really use the phone to talk), Has anyone successfully activated this plan on the nexus 4?

Hey all, So I have a very specific problem and I have literally scoured the internet for a solution. I haven't found much so I came here as sort of a last resort. I have the Samsung Galaxy Nexus gsm running on T-Mobiles 4G network. I have a 5GB data cap and no WiFi.

First some background, running the PAC-Man ROM and rooted and stuff.

Carrying on, whenever I try to Wifi tether, it always leads me to the pay for t-mobile thing. I don't know what exactly my contract is, I know I have data, that's about it.
