http://digitizor.com – Research In Motion, the makers of BlackBerry, is bringing out a new web browser for its device. This is the first browser that RIM has released after it bought Torch Mobile, a browser design firm, last year. The new browser is said to be much faster and easier to use compared to its earlier browsers. The new BlackBerry browser is based on WebKit rendering engine and reportedly has a Acid 3 test score of 100. The browser can also pan, zoom and scroll through websites loaded, and RIM claims that it’s more network-efficient than other mobile browsers. Last year, it was rumored that the new BlackBerry browser will support Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight. RIM, however, did not reveal anything in this regard in the announcement. However, BlackBerry devices are believed to be next in line after Adobe announced Flash in Android. The new browser is expected sometime later this year. It is unknown yet whether it will come as part of an updated BlackBerry OS or whether it will come as a downloadable upgrade from its website or the BlackBerry App Word.
