RHEL installed DELL server is not getting out of network frequently...............

http://www.linuxquestions.org – hi, we are using a DELL server installed with RHEL release 3(update 2) for running SS7 stack. we are using it for telecommunication testing. from last two months it is getting out of network though the server is up. we are not able to connect it through ssh using putty from local desktop. I tried searching for the reason in logs under /var/log/messages but i could not fine it. please tell me the path under which i can find the system error messages. I have just installed Slackware 13 on my Dell but the BT LED is not lighted when I start machine.

I run: # hciconfig -a But no result returns

I search many times about this problem but seem not find any solution. Hope for help.

Tired of not knowing anything except Windows. Bought a Dell mini with Ubuntu 8.04 installed on it and I'm working on learning Unix from the command line. This Forum ought to be helpful once I get a little further along.

Running Mandriva One 2010, wireless works great in Live mode. When installed, I can only connect to unsecured networks (BTFon, BTOpenzone) but not to my own BTHomeHub network, which has a WPA key. I guess the problem is something to do with wpa_supplicant, but I'm not 100% sure what to do about it.

I have been looking around for info on this and so far it doesn't look good. Dell's site gives nothing. Other Linux forums either say it just won't work or it might work listed as a Lexmark printer (nobody said which one that I could find). Consequently, I come here to the source of all wisdom Slackware and ask the question; has anyone installed this and gotten it to work properly?

I've been looking for a lightweight distribution to use on my Dell desktop with older hardware. While searching for a worthy candidate I almost immediately ran across last week's release of PC/OS 10. With a familiar Ubuntu base and new improvements such as Google Chrome and Skype, I thought PC/OS 10 Webstation was worth a look.

Hey all.

I just installed Slackware 12.2 and everything ran smoothly. Except, when i boot into it, login and try and start x, it doesn't work.

Code: Fatal server error: no screens found

i installed elastix on a server with a real or static ip address

i can access elastix webased system from inside my lan but i cannot do that from outside (i mean when i try to manage it from another place)

i also use D-Link DSL 2640T with a disabled firewall

Hi, A novice and tried to set up remote desktop from XP workstation using VNC4Server. Have lost GUI interface on server console. I tried to reverse what I did but still no display.
