when i am login from root user in terminal

MY RHEL machine graphic is not loading.frequently gets restarted
i am using RHEL 5.4
So what Should i do.
I have a RHEL 5.6 system which shut down unexpectedly due to a power failure. I restarted the machine to figure out if something is wrong. However, the machine is not showing the login screen. It is stuck after the services listing page.(The page where the OS will notify the loading of services is OK or failed).
I am trying to figure out someway to login to the system.
I have upgraded my OS from RHEL 3 to RHEL 5 and have found the unavailability of certain features which were avialable to me previously i.e while using RHEL 3 cluster and are missing from RHEL 5 cluster :
I recently encountered an issue where I had installed 32 bit RHEL 6 server on a 64 bit hardware. I did some research and found that RHEL 6.0 has PAE enabled in 32 bit machines that allows the user to use upto 64 GB RAM in a 32 bit OS.
However, RHEL 6 server 32 bit with PAE still has the limitation that a single process at any time could use the maximum address space only upto only 4 GB.
I'm using Fedora for 2-3 years and i really like it and I even can pay for it, but Fedora Team don't need donations at this moment. I'm thinking about buying Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop - what do You think about using RHEL Dekstop on laptop? The problem is - what RHEL give me, that Fedora don't have.
