I'm with Maya (Linux Mint 13), fully updated.
Immersive Explorer is a metro styled file explorer for Windows 8 created by Julien Manici and current available in version 0.3.0. It is in an early state of development and some different languages are available. The application can be downloaded on his homepage.
I have a file explorer window opened and is in the background of Chrome:
However, when I click on the file explorer icon on the Launcher, it doesn't open/switch to the already opened window, but instead open a new one:
How can I just open/switch to the already-opened file explorer window?
I have Windows 8 machine with Ubuntu One client (seems to be 4.0.0, released on 2012/12/11). I have checked that when synchronization is active I can not write any file in the folders sync'd.
Curiously, I CAN copy files in the folders using file explorer but I can not, for example, download a file there using web explorer, chrome, firefox, acrobat reader, etc.
Before I get to the question, I will tell you what I'm trying to accomplish.
I'm trying to develop a Java program to perform ADB push/pull functions to Android devices via Windows Explorer.
In Windows it is a usual function - almost any player will play next file in folder if you press Next. In Ubuntu I can't seem to find any player that does that - all players have playlists which will only contain a single file after I click on it in explorer(Nautilus).
WTF? This is really basic, did not expect it to be like that in Ubuntu.
I have a few Windows portable applications that I would like to run under WINE. Most of these have simply an executable file (.exe) and a settings file (.ini). There is no install file (launcher). In Windows, I would simply create a folder ProgramName under the C:\Program Files folder. Then I would place the .exe and the .ini file in the ProgramName folder.
I have two questions :
What is the difference between executing sh filename.sh and filename.sh?
How can I make both of them giving me the same output ?
I'm asking this question as right now I'm facing a problem.
I'm wonder what the best file explorer is......I'm stock rooted and it appears that I lost pics and music from my media card (which I physically removed from my device when I rooted), but it just may be hiding somewhere. I'm using X-Plore file app, which may not be showing me everything. Is there a better file explorer app to use?
Thanks in advance!
