http://forum.xda-developers.com – I know there are already a few threads like this around but needed a little more concise answer... so apologies! I'm returning my phone for issues with the power button being unresponsive and wanted to relock the bootloader and return it to stock software and recovery. I'm good on everything except the recovery. After the latest ota update I can't get any RUU file to work that would relock everything since the 2.35 RUU isn't out yet I guess. What is my best solution for getting this back to day 1 so I can return the phone? Do I need to just manually flash the recovery? Will that get rid of (HowTos)

Hi guys, I unlocked the bootloader with HtcDev and I installed the latest recovery. I didn't install any roms.(i have a weird feeling that this is important) After reading that official JB is coming this month I decided to give up installing a custom rom for the time being. How can I return everything to stock so that I can install the official JB when it arrives?

Hi,getting back to stock is not really my department. So just to make sure

1. Install nandroid backup of stock rom - done 2. That means that since my boot.img is stock as well as the rom itself is stock, that i only need recovery? 3. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img - i'm on 1.29.169.13 rom, can i use any 1.29 IMG? http://www.androidrevolution.nl/ARHD...%2FRecovery%2F ? 4.

I Have Some Problem with Updating Jelly Bean OTA. I Am In Stock Rom & Recovery & I also try another stock recovery Found In XDA or Other Source.

I brought my phone to stock. Installed a rom. Fine. Went back into CWM recovery. Every time I reboot the phone (power button or in recovery) it returns to recovery. I brought my phone back to stock again. Installed another rom. Went back to TWRP.

stuck in bootloader 38 weeks 3 days ago

I was trying to relock my phone to return to sprint, got relocked, but couldnt successfully run ruu. tried adb fastboot to relock just in cast I hadnt relocked successfully as well. then tried to flash ruu, got stuck at htc screen, and bootloader was the only thing that worked after that. now stuck in bootloader. what should I do?

Ok I was messing around with my phone and figured out how to force the update for the radio and software on stock rom. NO ROOT, NO CUSTOM RECOVERY! You DO need to have S-Off. Just do the juno bear's S-Off stuff. Once S-Off run the stock RUU. Your bootloader will be "LOCKED" and not "RELOCKED" but you will still be S-Off.

I unlocked my bootloader from htcdev , flashed TWRP recovery , made a nandroid backup of stock rom , flashed su . while I wanted to flash custom I came to know that i have to flash 4ext recovery and enable smartflash (as i am s-on). I successfully flashed custom rom . Now i wanted to return to stock rom(which is updated to ICS ) . But when i restored the stock rom it struck at htc logo.

can someone with stock recovery try flashing this and tell me if you still get the signature verification error?

I have just about given up, but wanted to try one more time.

Boot into recovery by powering on the phone holding both the volume up and power button until recovery comes up.

use the volume keys to navigate and the camera button to select.

Select update and then select the z

With all this OTA talk, I've been getting many questions about accepting and OTA while stock rooted.

IF you are stock rooted, you can't get an OTA update because you most likely have a custom recovery installed (Clockworkmod). To accept this OTA, you will need to install the STOCK recovery.
