My name is Terry and I am making Retrobooster, an upcoming 2.5D survival shooter and cave-flyer. It was a hobby project for a long time, but my day job was holding me back.
Research In Motion Limited or (RIM), popularly known for its product BlackBerry smartphone, has just released a new version of its open-source and cross-platform C++ game engine Gameplay.
This new version introduces many new features but the most interesting part is that they are adding Linux support in their next release.

Livalink is a new first person shooter game by indie game studio Ben4Views.
In the game, you play as a Reinforced Intergalactic Livalink Trooper (RILT) and fight against increasingly difficult waves of Progeny attackers.
Indie real time strategy and shooter game McDROID has been released for Linux.
In the game, you control the McDROID, a farming/combat modular robot and defend your shuttle against mutants while farming strawberries at the same time.
McDROID is based on Unity game engine and it supports 4 player co-op.
Dysis is voxel-based real time strategy and first person shooter hybrid game for Linux. You are given an army of robots, the ability to manipulate your environment, and the task of escaping the Dysis. The land is infinite, hostile and mysterious. You must explore, research and survive.
Dysis, is on Kickstarter and it has reached funding target of $5k.
Maker’s Tale is a new fantasy RTS and strategy game for Linux. It features a tabletop board game like approach where the combat takes place in a sandbox environment enabling the player to rebuild the level during play.
The game is being developed using open source game engine jMonkeyEngine. A tech demo for Linux was released recently.
Free and open source multiplayer first person shooter game Cube 2: Sauerbraten has received a major update after 2 years.
Codenamed 'Collect Edition', this release features 45 new multiplayer maps, new sounds, collect game modes, international character sets, faster cubescript interpreter, improved minimap etc. Full changelog can be found here.

Ubuntu 13.04 development has started and daily build images are now available for interested users. These are early development builds not recommended for production systems.
Starting with Ubuntu 13.04, there will be no Alpha releases.
Sir, You Are Being Hunted is an open-world action title currently being developed by Big Robot.
The game is being made using Unity3D engine and Linux support has been announced with its alpha teaser trailer.
