Hi everyone,
I upgraded my laptop from F17 to F18, a fresh install using the x86_64 DVD iso on a USB stick. This laptop has seen lots of Fedora releases already without real problems. But this time, I can't get a (wired of wireless) network connection.
I have clean installed centos, apache, mysql, php and have my php pages running fine at 192.168.1.66. I type that ip in on another computer (macbook) on the same network and get nothing. Page time out. I also don't see the linux machine showing up in my network list in finder.
I have tried adding port 80 to iptables but still no joy.
Hi,
I run Fedora 16 on my Levono Thinkpad T420s ( kernel 3.4.9-2.fc16.x86_64, Gnome3) and while almost everything works more or less, I have a problem getting the network connection running.
I currently have a MacBook with Lion (fully updated), using the network account from a Lion Server (also fully updates) and I'm able to login to the network account just fine.
However, when I'm offline (away from my home network), I can't login to my account.
Hello everyone,
So I have an old computer functioning as an OpenBSD router for my home network. I had 3 network cards, one to wired home network, one to wireless network, and one to my modem. One day, pings magically stopped working. I login to the router with ssh over my wired network.. everything appears fine. dhclient is still getting an address from the modem and everything, but ping 8.8.8.8 doesn't work..
I installed Ubuntu 11.10 recently. After the first bootup the computer freezes so I have to force-quit my computer.
Then I turned on my computer after that. I tried connecting to the internet. My (and my neighbor's) wireless networks shown up, but no matter how many times I tried, I can't connect to my home network. I checked the password and the other laptop's internet works (a MacBookPro).

Hi!
I just updated Fed 16 this morning, and I noticed now that there is no longer a network icon in the top bar. If I go to System settings/Network I get 'the network service is not compatible with this version'
How do I get out of this one?? I can't connect to reinstall Network Manager.
How can I get the internet connections up and running manually? What is wrong with this version.
