The Switzerland-based Solar Impulse group flew its HB-SIA solar-powered aircraft for 26 hours, using solar cells to collect sunlight during the day and sunlight-powered batteries at night. It is now the longest and highest manned solar flight.
Qatar Airways latest commercial aircraft, the Boeing-787-800 Dreamliner, accompanies 22 business class seats and another 232 economy class seats. To an airplane enthusiast, there’s many aspects of the Boeing 787 to be excited about such as the all new noise-reducing technology Boeing used in the jet engine, all the way down to the sleek new aerodynamic design it was built upon.
Hey guys I'm a first time poster with little EE experience. I recently assembled a pulsing LED circuit using the schematic below. I added four more LED lights (wired in parallel) and tried to power the circuit using four AA (NiMh) rechargeable batteries (wired in series) but the batteries don't provide enough voltage.
I have a working AA-USB charger. It has a wide range of working vIn, from 2.2-4.5v, but it only delivers high current at high voltage, so I have to use three AA's. They're rechargeable NiMH's. It's not good to discharge a rechargeable battery below 1 volt. With 3 batteries, this means a vIn of 3v.
Well, I finally finished my project of making a 0 to 15V battery powered lab supply. It's powered by 4 Li-oN batteries and will turn it's self off if the voltage gets too low(10V) I has low ripple and current limiting, and I use it all the time.
Ive included the last schematic, and picture.
Now onward, I want to do three things.
