I just got two new phones, note 4 and S5. I was an iphone user up until now. Anyway, visual voicemail app is set up and working on the S5, but when you push the 'voicemail' button, it CALLS voicemail. I do NOT want that. I want it to simply directly open visual voicemail.
The phone: Moto X running Kitkat 4.4.4 on AT&T in New York City. Visual Voicemail version 18.104.22.168 (the latest version as of today, 9/4/2014).
The problem: When I get a voicemail, the message comes to Visual Voicemail and the little voicemail tape icon appears at the top. When I listen to the message in Visual Voicemail, the tape should disappear (it used to).
In an effort to reduce the bloat on my phone I accidentally deleted the visual voicemail app. I don't want visual voicemail, just a notification of a voicemail. I deleted thinking that is not what I wanted and I can not get any notifications now. I have tried a few voicemail notification apps which have worked with boost mobile, however they are not working for me.
i got this phone from a friend, i think they had visual voicemail because when i click on the voicemail icon it pops up with a screen that says loading please wait. i don't have visual voicemail. is there any way i can get it to dial my into my voicemail box by default?
On my daughter's MyTouch Slide 4G we just started getting "Visual Voicemail Full" alert in notifications. I have checked the app drawer, etc and I cannot for the life of me find the Visual Voicemail app anywhere. No icon to launch the application anywhere as far I can tell.
She has never used visual voicemail and her regular voicemail is empty.
Wondering if anyone has figured out a good solution for visual voicemail on their N5? I am currently with Telus in Canada and they do not have a visual voicemail app for Android. Which is painful. I am sick of calling into my carriers VM. I checked YouMail but it was sketchy and told me I had to call into my carrier to figure some stuff out. Call forwarding. Which I have.
