When you install the gnome-shell package and then login to "gnome", it uses a CSS file to define how it presents the top panel, the calendar, the fonts and colors of the panel, how the menu appears, etc..
Hey guys I solve it... I uninstall gnome-tweak-tool (but I don't think it was the problem), I found a directory of alternative-status-menu under /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions and delete it and now it works.Unfortunately I lose most of my settings in previous tests (gnome configuration file and some changes to .js file of ui), but it doesn't matter...
I switched from Unity to Gnome 3.4 but I'd like to tweak my desktop a bit. I want to use a gnome shell theme but the gnome tweak tool won't allow me to modify the gnome shell themes. I've read somewhere that if I reinstall the gnome-shell then it would conflict with Unity and I wouldn't be able to safely use Unity anymore. Is there a way to change the theme without reinstalling the gnome-shell?
