Tomboy was removed from Ubuntu 12.04′s pre-installed applications because it used the outdated Mono library. Gnote is an improved port of Tomboy written in c++. It is the same note taking application, including most of the add-ins (more are to come).
Is anybody aware of a unity lens for gnote? Or does anybody know how to tweak the existing unity-lens-tomboy to scan the gnote folder instead of the tomboy folder?
Gnote has always been an excellent Mono-free alternative to the popular Tomboy note-taking application, but it lacked one crucial feature: the ability to synchronize notes across multiple machines. Fortunately, the latest developer release of the application fills the gap and introduces syncing functionality.
Gnote, a free and open-source desktop notetaking application written for Linux, ported from Tomboy to C++, is now at version 3.7.1.

I’ve been using gnote as my daily job status tool for a few years now, and it’s great. I love it. I have 900+ notes. But every day when I create a new note it hangs for 10 seconds, and again after typing the note’s title and hitting return. This machine isn’t slow (Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz) so it’s got to be gnote.

I can't create a new notebook in Tomboy. Normally, creating a notebook in Tomboy is like that:

But when i try to create a notebook like that, nothing happens because there isn't any sub-menu (It's in Turkish, "Not Defterleri" means "Notebooks"):

Hey Guys, im sure this question has been answered in the past, but was unable to locate it in the forums.
I am looking to upgrade my GF's GNEX to a GNOTE II. She has unlimited data currently. My account has 4 lines, 3 with unlimited and 1 with shared (4gb). All 3 unlimited plans have upgrades available.
I would like to keep our unlimited plans for Myself and her.
