http://www.linuxquestions.org – hi, guys I have a CentOs 5.3 installed and a wiffi antenna Ovislink WL-1120-PCI wlan adapter RTL8180L 802.11b; when I try to start the device the answer is error for wireless request "set mode" (8B06) invalid argument. also I have a usb antenna 802.11g USB 2.0 adapter URO54g(RO1)V1.1 and a nicfaster ethernet pci rtl 8139 the ethernet card works right, the usb wiffi antenna is a ghost, ant the Ovislink don´t let me to start tne conection. somebody can help me ? please. (sorry for the translate my primary lenguage is español ) txs (HowTos)

When I try to set my Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8187 Wireless Adapter to master mode I get the following error:

Running Mandriva One 2010, wireless works great in Live mode. When installed, I can only connect to unsecured networks (BTFon, BTOpenzone) but not to my own BTHomeHub network, which has a WPA key. I guess the problem is something to do with wpa_supplicant, but I'm not 100% sure what to do about it.

Hello there, I am new to RedHat, and I installed RHEL 5.1 on my laptop (Acer aspire 4736z). After my installation I found out my LAN and wireless network is not working.

using following command shows my ethernet and wireless devices as :

/sbin/lspci

Mandrive won't start after Boot 3 years 14 weeks ago

I just installed Mandriva 2010. It boots up, begins to start and goes into a black command prompt page, asks for login and password. When I answer appropriately it stares at expecting bash commands? I'm confused, I was expecting a desktop to appear.

Tired of not knowing anything except Windows. Bought a Dell mini with Ubuntu 8.04 installed on it and I'm working on learning Unix from the command line. This Forum ought to be helpful once I get a little further along.

Its not in the repo's. Its not in anything online that actually works. If i download the pack i either have the older versions of required packages or I dont have them all together. Now i cant get on any of the servers I did before because they upgraded, and I cant.
