I rooted this phone before so I could get all the bloatware off of it, and also, rooting is just the bomb... anyways, after it was rooted (rooted stock ROM) I activated it back on boost so my wife could use it... well, it turns out she had a voicemail message still on her account at the time of the activation from her old phone.
In an effort to reduce the bloat on my phone I accidentally deleted the visual voicemail app. I don't want visual voicemail, just a notification of a voicemail. I deleted thinking that is not what I wanted and I can not get any notifications now. I have tried a few voicemail notification apps which have worked with boost mobile, however they are not working for me.
I have gotten a notification that I have 1 new voice message. However, I am in a different country right now and would rather not pay an exorbitant amount of money to call my voicemail just to dismiss the notification. Is there a way I can remove it without calling voicemail? I have tried restarting the phone and swiping the notify away, but it's a pretty persistent notification.
Has anyone else ran into the issue of not receiving voice mail notifications? All I get on my device is the missed call notification, and that happens whether the caller leaves a voice mail message or not. I called Boost and the not-so-helpful customer service rep reset my voice mail back to default but that hasn't fixed the issue.
Does anyone know how to get the voicemail notification to show up. I just found out I can hold down one and it will take me to my voicemail but my phone never shows the notification even though there are vm being left.
Hey there. I tried searching for this and am coming up short so looking for help.
I use Google Voice for my voicemail and have been for the last several years. All of a sudden a few days ago the stock notification for voicemail started popping up on my phone. I can temporarily remove it by going to app settings > voicemail then either clear data or force close but it comes right back up.
Hello, I have a voicemail notification on my gear and I don't have any voice mails. I tried to disconnect the Bluetooth but my watch freezes when trying to call voicemail . I then have to hold the home key and restart.. When I'm connected to my device it just calls my voicemail and tells me I have no messages but the notification is still there. Anybody know what's going on
I have a voicemail notification saying I have 2 new voicemails that won't go away. I have my google voice account set as my voicemail on my phone. When I click on the notification, it just calls my google voice number. I found an old thread on this forum that said to go to your voicemail and press * then listen through all the options and it would remove the notification but it didn't.
