With the new update, you can group chat on the Default Messaging app
So heres my question: Which app do you think gets the best better for your Android phone: Handcent or the default Messaging
I have an Evo3d running android 4.1 and I can't find out how to get group messaging to display all texts that belong to one conversation in a single thread. Most of my friends have iPhones and group text me. Each of their responese are shown in separate threads under their respective names rather than being shown under one group thread like gmail groups emails.

I'm having an annoying problem with Handcent. Please read below to see what is going on as described by someone else on a different forum who is experiencing the same problem as I am.

ok, i just bought a note 2 barely 2 weeks ago. i love it but it seems like the Tmobile version does not have the group messaging as a native app. yes, i can SEND to multiple contacts, and multiple people gets the texts.
There are some select samsung and motorola phones (for vz) that can send and receive group texts within the default messaging app. Is there anyway to flash that single APK to gain this function ?
I am running bigxis jellybean, and when i send a group message, it sends to all people within a message, but when i get replies back, they come as seperate.

Okay, so there's a group of friends I have - 3 of them have iPhones, and one has a Blackberry. 1 iPhone and the Blackberry are Verizon, the other 2 iPhones are AT&T.

Hey there, I've been looking for a way to fix this for a few days now and im stumped.
Im using Synergy rom, juice defender ultimate and handcent. My problem is when I receive MMS messages while connected to wifi I have to manually disable wifi then re-open handcent and download the message again. Same with the stock messaging app. It seems handcent doesnt like to use wifi.

I am trying to setup group chat/mms so i can chat with my friends who have iphones and htc. I read that handcent and gosms pro can do this. However, when i send an outgoing message it send in a group, but their replies come back in the seperate individual user threads. i have the option checked for group mms, but its still not working. Please help!

so i'm a hancent fan... i like the lockscreen pop up messages for new incoming text messages. i usually reply from them as well.
when doing that on the inc4g i've noticed the notification led continues to blink at me like i have an unread message. i'm assuming i can turn off the led notification completely in handcent (i do not want to do that)... or wait for the handcent devs to fix this?
