Replacing default folders with symlinks while retaining all the default functionalities

http://askubuntu.com – I use lvm for my Documents, Videos etc. I am replacing my Documents, Music, Pictures, Videos folders with symbolic links to the respective logical volumes and still want to retain all the default functionalities and look. First, I right clicked and went to /usr/share/icons/Humanity/icons/64 to select icons. But when I view the icons in nautilus they are slightly smaller than the default icons. I am attaching a screenshot. How can I get the icon size to match up with the default (I realize the arrow will still be there but still)? Second, under the Computer section the links still point to t (HowTos)
