Replacing ATI Catalyst with open source drivers on Fedora 19

view story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I want to remove the ATI Catalyst video driver and replace it with the open source drivers. I tried the aticonfig uninstall feature, but it says the uninstaller can't be found: Code: [mouser@orpheus ~]$ aticonfig --uninstall Uninstaller for AMD Catalyst (TM) Proprietary Driver, /usr/share/ati/amd-uninstall.sh, does not exist or cannot be found. I also tried simply removing the Catalyst drivers, but that made the GUI unusable. How can I go about removing the Catalyst drivers and replacing them with the open source drivers? (HowTos)
