Hello everyone. This is probably very simple.I want to make a dummy network interface for Xen.If I:modprobe dummy numdummies=1ifconfig -adummy0 will be listed as an interface. However I need dummy0 to be an interface when xend daemon is loaded at boot.
I got it working what I initially wanted. I have a desktop computer, which I use as a "streaming server". I send all the VLC streaming commands to it, and my desktop computer sends the video to the STB. The connection between my laptop and desktop computer is established with a tool called PsExec.
Im trying to rename files on my server to remove special characters (whitespace, æøå, etc) from the filenames. The problem is that i cannot get the rename-function to work. On my local machine the rename function works as expected
rename 's/[^a-zA-Z\.0-9]*/_/g' *.mp3
renames all files and removes special characters.
On the server, however, the above call has no effect whatsoever.
