32GB VZW S3 on the way from Amazon to replace my rooted, debloated and deodexed Droid X. When is the best time to root it?
Out of the box before connecting it to VZW?
Or, wait for it take any updates?
I will install OTA Root keeper after first root.
Should I wait for OTA updates or just and get them over with with Kies if that is an option?
I am prepared to root ICS or JB.

FROM MY EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE
Hello All - I have a question of if I can:
1) Root my phone
2) Install custome ROM
3) Unroot phones (and leave custom ROM)
The reason I ask is my company is initiating use of an app (MaaS360) to manage mobile devices that receive company email (currently optional, but soon to be required if I want my company email on my phone).
Most of you might be very much familiar with the rooting procedure. Its the process of giving yourself superuser permissions (ex - administrator in windows xp ).
If you are using a custom rom, then there is no need to specifically root your phone.
Hi
Can any one help?
Sensation HBOOT 1.27.000 UK model

Hi Everyone,
I am having issues with my previously rooted Nexus 7. My device was rooted when it first came with Nexus 7 toolkit v2.0 and was rooted successfully. After an update to android 4.2 via the OTA updates, the root status was taken off from the device so I've used to tookit again to restore the root.
I suspect that a while back while my toddler was watching Thomas the Train, he oked the last OTA and ... I didn't notice until recently. I could have sworn I said no to the OTA, but there it is.
I was looking to Root my new (Referb) phone from PlatinumTel
The phone Samsung Galaxy Prevail that came from PlatinumTel ($54.00) was already Rooted but I had to download the superuser from the Google Play market before I could use the Tools.
I verified the root access then used Rooted tools successfully: Titanium backup, adaway, Link2SD etc.
