If I pull down my Notifications bar, there's an option to disable Notifications.
I'm looking for some way to code this into an NFC tag. NFC Task Launcher doesn't seem to have an option to turn Notifications off - it lets you change the notifications ring tone, volume or LED light, but not actually disable them.
Any ideas?

I am posting here because I own this particular device, in case any solutions posted are specific to the phone.
What I am looking for is an app that is capable of making different kinds of notifications depending on the app that issues them.
Hello all, I use the Samsung Calendar application exclusively which is connected to my work gmail account. I find it extremely annoying that I get calendar notifications from BOTH calendar applications.
I seem to have two separate programs managing my e-mail. I am using ONE gmail address. When I get ONE incoming email, I get TWO notifications with different audible alerts. Seems as tho the phone is managing e-mail, and gmail is managing e-mail. In my status bar I get two notifications. One black "M" and one red "M".
I use the GroupMe app a lot. Since some of my groups tend to blow up, I simply turned off the vibrate notifcation. Ever since my phone upgraded to JB, it doesn't work anymore. I've tried restarting my phone, taking the battery out, uninstalling and re-installing the app, and nothing works. Turning off "vibrate" in notifications doesn't do a thing.
How do I get rid of this notifications envelope? This is not the indicator app and I can't seem to find a way to remove it. It's totally useless in that it collects notifications and has to constantly be cleared.
See attachment to see what I mean.

I am wondering if anybody is using the default or gmail as a sole client. Also, does anybody know how to disable one or the other so that you only get notifications from one of them. For instance, when I get a email I get 2 notifications. One for the default and one for gmail.
I'm not getting any notifications from Twitter, Facebook, Whatsapp, e-mail etc when I'm on a data connection (Works on wi-fi). E-mail says "Couldn't open connection to server", Whatsapp doesn't send or receive messages and Facebook and twitter work normally in app, but without notifications.
I'm running CM9 as my ROM. Help.
