I have a terabyte external hard drive, with with Windows to Go on it. Recently, I installed Ubuntu onto this drive. The computer that I installed Ubuntu onto the external HDD is a BIOS computer, and so is my laptop. But, GRUB only launches on my laptop, letting me select the operating system I want to boot on, but boots directly into Windows on my desktop. Why is this?
My Windows 7 crashed so I formatted my hard drive. I wanted to try Ubuntu so I downloaded it and put it on USB following directions. It installs. I turn my computer off then rearrange my BIOS so HD boots first. Then it says no boot disk and wont load Ubuntu even though all files are on HD. What do I do?
