I have a RHEL 4 server that recently ran out of disk space and now our Logwatch for the server reports the following disk usage (I think this is the last accurate night before the /var partition filled up):
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00
62G 3.8G 55G 7% /
/dev/mapper/VolGroup01-LogVol00

We have a centos machine and the mysql is not starting and is due to space if full. Below is the df-h results. What best can be done in this situation?
Hi, Horde is a mystery with its disk space consumption...or is it something else?
The 'disk space usage' panel shows 45.74 mg being used by mail; when i click on 'mail' on the 'disk space usage' panel, the the in, out, send, trash boxes for all mail id's have far less than the amount of disk space usage noted on the above mentioned panel.
Hi! When I log on to my cpanel account, the stats menu on the left shows disk space usage as 1480.39/∞. But when I click on the link of "disk space usage" it shows me as though the disk space usage is limited. For example my public_html shows that it is almost full making me worried of uploading more files.
As system administrator , but also as common user on my PC, one of the more common problem is the fill up at 100% of a filesystem.
So, in this article we’ll see 2 commands that can help us in keeping under control or check the space used in every filesystem and in his directory.
df : report file system disk space usage
du: estimate file space usage
Hi,
I am having a Low Disk error, saying my file system is low. I ran a Disk Usage Analazyer on the file system and it has pleaty of space in the primary directories. What is showing up in red is 2 of my three drive I have automatically mounting on boot. The mounted drives are 1 and 2 TB and are formatted to ntfs.
i am running into an space issue on my 64 bit Ubuntu running on Virtual machine even though the space available is 40 GB and total file system usage is 9.5 GB it shows me total usage 37 GB where is my remaining space being used ?
When I run the command df -h on my new Ubuntu linux VPS I get the following:
# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hdv1 466G 33G 434G 7% /
none 16M 0 16M 0% /tmp
The VPS should only have 5Gb of disk space but df reports 466Gb. How can I view the correct amount of disk space?
Like the title says; As soon as I delete something (from my filesystem, home folder or any folder for that matter), the space immidately gets filled with data and my availble/free disk space goes back to 0 bytes IMMIDATELY!!
