I'm trying to wrap my head around how torrent tracker servers work. How do private trackers monitor ratio?
I can see from the spec that there's a "completed" message, but I'm just not sure how the tracker uses this information to generate the commonly used ratio metric.

I have openSUSE 11.2 on Asus UL30A laptop which has a 13" 1366x768 16:9 screen but it's stuck in 16:10. No matter what I try in SAX it never changes to a correct aspect ratio. It's not visible with text, but all circles are clearly looking a little oval. Is there any way to change the aspect ration? The KDE Monitor properties doesn't have an aspect ratio option. Thank you.
I just setup a new Ubuntu PC.
I can see the shares, navigate folders, but when I try to open I cant, says permission denied.
Using the new Ubuntu pc, I can connect to a win7 box and open its shares.
Another Ubuntu install can open the shares that the new ubuntu install cant.
The shares are open to everyone on the ubuntu machine.
So what do you think is the problem?

Firstly, this is not to start any debate about which aspect ratio is better, but is more a question for those who own (or have used) the first generation Galaxy Note.
I'm really looking forward to getting the Note II (upgrade from my current i9000) and my first concern upon hearing of the new aspect ratio (16:9) is how well it works well with the S-Pen for writing.

I have a System76 Wild Dog Performance with an NVidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti. I'm trying to figure out how I can make fullscreen apps (games) maintain proper aspect ratio. I'm using a monitor with 1920x1080 resolution (16:9), and some games appear stretched because they are for example 1024x768 (4:3).

We have a one segment lan with no frills. The always on media center has some NFS shares, some restricted to certain IP addresses. It has two samba shares so the windows maachines can put files in a certain applications blackhole directory.
How can one browse NFS shares of another machine? This would be handy when I do not remember the entire list as can happen when I haven't eaten recently
