Paravirtualization With Xen On CentOS 5.4 (x86_64)
This might be a silly question, but... Is there any hypervisor or other virtualization solution which supports a "virtual IPMI" for virtual machines? I.e. would allow access to something that looks like power control, a serial-over-lan console, etc. to a virtual machine.
This is really not the right way for managing virtual machines, I know.

I've got a project that there's no budget for. Basically I need to get a null modem connection set up between our phone systems(physical servers running Win2K8 32b) and our new reporting system(virtual server running Win2K3) in another location. I figured I would use a hardware serial/ethernet adapter and connect it to the VM remotely. This however is expensive at ~80+ per phone system.

Problem: Creating and maintaining hundreds of student accounts
The school where I work runs Active Directory on Server 2008. Every year, our students have to sign up for accounts with a third-party SaaS school management system. That has created a lot of work in the past, as codes have to be generated for students, and students often lose the codes or can't figure out how to enter them.
I've been getting a lot of crashes lately (okay, I've only had my DX for two weeks, and rooted it promptly). I go to load the last nandroid backup, and I discover that besides Clockword Mod, there's another recovery system on my phone. I get the option when starting up recovery to select either CWM, or RZR recovery. I don't know how RZR recovery got on my phone in the first place.
