Recover text files and directory structure from the database created by Recoll?

http://unix.stackexchange.com – A while ago, I ran Recoll which created a database on a partition, so that I could quickly search among all the text information in the contents of all files (text file, pdf, djvu, html, etc) in that partition. Now the partition, for which the Recoll created a database, has been wiped out accidentally, but I can still search in Recoll among those deleted files, because the database of Recoll is stored in another partition that hasn't been affected. When I search for a keyword among the text content of those deleted files, I can still see one or two lines surrounding that keyword as its con (HowTos)

Not sure if there are some people here who know about Recoll, a desktop search tool. A while ago, I ran Recoll which created something which I think is a database, so that I could quickly search among all the text information in the contents of all files (text file, pdf, djvu, html, etc) in one partition.

Recoll is a desktop search tool that provides efficient full text search (from single-word to arbitrarily complex boolean searches) in a friendly GUI, with minimum technical sophistication and few mandatory external dependencies. It runs under many Unix-like operating systems, and is mostly independent of the desktop environment. Recoll was designed not to require a permanent daemon.

I'm using recoll for some time now and noticed that a LibreOffice document (odt) was not indexed, i.e. I could not find it on the list although a specific keyword is used in the document. There are no missing helpers displayed in my recoll installation.

Not all search tools are the same. Just like users have a variety of Linux distros that appeal to a wide range of needs, search apps do different tasks for different users.

How to make recoll list only folder or directory names instead of files? Or how to filter category to only search for directory names not directory contents (files)? Many times, I can only remember the folder's name not the file names. Thank you for your help.

I have a directory with 1,242,276 plain text files on my external hard drive. They are totally unorganized with meaningless numbers as their file names. The reason for that is because they were recovered by some recovery software after accidentally emptying a partition a while ago.

The File->Show_missing_helpers menu item in the recoll GUI mentions the following missing helper (among others):

Per the recoll user manual I installed the perl image exif tool (and library):

sudo aptitude install libimage-exif-perl libimage-exiftool-perl

but recoll still lists the missing helper and fails to in

I installed MySql using :

yum install mysql-server

It is working fine from the terminal.I created a database named music and created some tables inside this database . Now I want to port the entire database to some other machine. How do I do that ?

In general where can I find the database files and the table files ? I searched a lot by the keyword music but couldn' find it.
