http://crunchbanglinux.org – Greetings.Google's recent decision to consolidate their services into a single user account, one which is linked to your mobile phone number (hence linked to your carrier who has your billing address and identity card/passport number), has made me a bit worried for obvious reasons. Granted, I've never been as daft as to rely on gmail for my work-related stuff or very personal bits (all of which I have a paid-corporate account from my ISP), but I like keeping a clear line of separation between different groups of acquaintances of gmail/gtalk and it's clearly getting harder to do. This is my first android phone, SPrint Galaxy Note 2. My Google Account thus the play store email address is not associated with any gmail email, and I do have a few gmail accounts I want to put in to the stock gmail app. Problem is when I try to start the stock gmail app, it wants to automatically attach to my Google Account email.

Can I delete the app and re-install?

I currently have an OG EVO as my personal mobile phone device.

Hi, everyone. I have my Verizon GS3 set to pull & display my Gmail email, which is my work account. It also syncs my calendar, which is great.

However, my work populates my address book automatically with all of my fellow employees...AND all the students (I work at a college). This has subsequently been synched with my phone. I don't want all this stuff in my phone contact list.

I use Google Apps to handle email for my personal website, so I have an email address username@ellipsix.net through that, and I also have a Gmail account username@gmail.com. Now, I've been trying to send emails to a particular recipient who shall be known as mail@example.com. When I send the email from my Gmail account with the @gmail.com address, it works fine.

As long as I`m on the mobile network, my Gmail doesn`t notify me of any new emails. I have downloaded updates for the gmail account, rebooted the phone, I made sure the Sync Gmail account is on, background data is on, sound is on, notification for every new email is on.... what am I missing????

I got ticked off at Google a couple of days ago and intentionally deleted my account. (long story) It was an emotional decision that I regretted the next day. (contacts, Drive content, paid apps, etc.)

I have formally requested with Google that my account be restored. Anyone have any experience with their account restoration service?

I am a user of multiple gmail accounts and have no problem with using multiple sign-in for my mail access. But we have a new employee that would rather all his email in one inbox. I know he can forward the mail to his personal account, and that a bcc could put a copy of any replies back into his work account, but I feel like I should have some privacy concerns with this. Any input would be great!
